Your Autistic Life: The Ruminations of an Autistic Enby

This is my blog. I masked my autism for the first 50 years of my life. I discovered in March 2023 that I am, in fact, autistic. Prior to this time, my life was mostly okay, but did not make much sense overall. Since my self-diagnosis, my life makes much more sense.

Editorials:

  • The Distinction Between Migrant And Expat May Not Be The One You Think

The wrong definition will mark you as someone fighting the wrong battle. If you insist that by definition expat means white skin, while migrant means person of color, what you are engaging in is performative social justice and virtue signaling. “Look at how virtuous I am!” What you are doing actually helps no one. Moreover,…

  • Flipboard: An Ableist Platform

I don’t recommend it for anyone, and especially not for people with mental health conditions. I don’t watch the news on the television anymore. Rather than do this, I used to use Google News. I did this for a long time. It was my main source of news. I tried using the fediverse for this,…

  • YouTube Channels Peddling Nonsense

I’ve noticed a few of those lately. I find this practice shameful. Do read the entire article. I swear it is all linked together. I’d say the second part is more important than the first, because I think more people have misconceptions about data deletion, but the first part provides some background. Titles Of Nobility…

  • Review: TUSHY Classic 3.0 Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment

I’m reviewing this bidet attachment. Compromises all the way down. Yes, you have to compromise. However, the very set of compromises that this bidet requires is a set that I can very well live with. YMMV. I do recommend the Tushy, if your constraints are similar to mine. You need to be logged in to…

  • Stimming Is Life 002

A playlist for those who like to stim to music. One thing I found that 120 beats per minute (BPM) may be close to my limit when I walk. I may have songs that go above this limit, but if they are too fast, then I just hand-dance and forget about walk-dancing. If you want…

  • The Conservatives Justices Part of SCOTUS are Sophomoric Idiots

Yep, we’re fucked. I chose my words carefully with that title. Their “reasoning” for the decision granting absolute powers to presidents is equivalent to the work of a confused college sophomore. I knew right away that this decision couldn’t be good for us, but I decided to hold my tongue for a while. I have…

  • Opening Hours And Google

Google devices lie about the opening hours of stores that have departments that are not opening at the same time as the main store. This is a true story. I did ask when CVS Pharmacy was open, and Google lied to me. https://youtu.be/SN28ZMkXaiY

  • Google: Bad At Lists, Good For Farting

Google devices are terrible at managing lists, but great for farting. I’m not even kidding. Ask your device to fart. https://youtu.be/BIgR4VuxW_k

  • Stimming Is Life 015

Yes music! In need to talk about the Route 66 song. Unfortunately, the electroswing mix that I picked does not exist on Spotify. I had to replace it with Nat King Cole’s version, which I love. This song is a good illustration of the fact that I think ads can be cute, even if I…

  • Stimming Is Life 14

More music to stim to. Things of note… I believe this is a first in our series. The songwriter of Your Woman, Jyoti Mishra (@Jyoti) is in the fediverse! Do say hi, especially if you like the song! Danger Mouse is very present in this playlist. He’s a member Gnarls Barkley and Broken Bells. No,…

  • Stimming Is Life’s 80’s 001

I know I’ve had a few oldies in my playlists previously, but this is the first time I have an entire playlist of oldies. I asked YouTube for Lube, and then it figured that I just wanted to listen to oldies. I just rolled with it.
